Krabi is on the Andaman Sea coast of southwest Thailand, between 7'30" and 8'30" north latitude, and 98'30" and 99'30" west longitude . This coastal province covers an area of 4,709 square kilometers. The provincial capital is 814 kilometers south of Bangkok, and is conveniently accessible by road from the capital and Phuket. Krabi's major attractions are located largely along its extensive coastline, which contains several well-known beaches and bays, and numerous offshore tropical islands. Krabi is divided into eight districts : Muang(Krabi Town), Kao Panom, Klong Tom, Plai Praya, Koh Lanta, Ao Luk, Lam Tap, and Neua Klong.
